Sigur Ros – Ekki múkk

I understand this is something that would not traditionally appear on Ladies, but I thought everyone should know that the new Sigur Ros album is absolutely gorgeous.
This song is just so beautiful and heart-wrenching, despite not being able to understand the Icelandic. The string build-ups, the soft piano, and the yearning in Jonsi’s voice all make for an extremely emotional listening experience. Do yourself a favor and put this on as you lay down to sleep - find yourself being taken away with the grandeur of the production. Just don’t be surprised if you find yourself recalling a stirring memory and shedding a tear or two.
